A working week

May 27th - May 30th, 2018

We spent a week at the end of May on Horizon. Outfitting her with solar, wind generator, new batteries etc...

This is our new full enclosure of part of the cockpit. It will come really handy when it's rough and cold weather up in the high latitudes. You can do all the navigation and autopilot from the warmth of the cabin :-)
This is our solar panel package. 5 panel s gives us a total of 590 W
Lots of crawling around in tight corners to draw all the wires from the solar, wind and Watt&Sea
Lots of cables
The neat installation of our new, 8x116Ah, Firefly battery bank. Total of 928 Ah.
All the cables from the solar goes through this pole. Shoot it's hard to make holes in your new boat!
Here are all the regulators for the solars, neatly installed.
We got our new electrical engine to the dinghy! Super quiet and so easy to use. And amazingly powerful! Love it. No gas needed.
Anders is putting up the wind generator, Silentwind.
Beautiful sunset in the marina
Our anchorage for the night, Potter cove.
We are very happy with our Horizon logo :-)
Dinghy excursion, looking at our boat
Sea shell beach
Beautiful sunset :-)
Anette is on her way to take her morning shower in the ocean
Sailing back to the marina
We tried out our whisker pole, running wing on wing. Looks pretty good, if I'm allowed to say it myself ;-)
