Annapolis boat show. Deltaville and Michael

Oct 5th - Oct 10th, 2018

Horizon was the show boat at both Newport and Annapolis boat shows. She was shining in all her glory :-)

The show is over, time to leave. It's amazing with the logistic in getting all the boats out. They manage to do it in 2 hours!!!

Big crowd cheering all the boats leaving the show

After the show a professional photographer, Billy Black, did a photo shoot on Horizon.

The next day when we sailed south Billy Black did another photo shoot when we were sailing

Early morning departure, heading to Deltaville. 70nm to go. Motoring down Chesapeake bay. with 10 knots wind straight on the nose, to arrive before the remnants of hurricane Michael approaches our area.

Horizon is now moored in Deltaville. In the evening they hade a hurricane watch party. That was a new experience for us 😬

Not the best place to be looking at the radar :-(

The barometer has dropped significantly since yesterday, Michael is approaching. But we have prepared, dinghy is up and we’re all tied up. Now we will just hunker down

All is well on Horizon after a very stormy night. Gusts up to 47 knots. Lots of rain, sort of sleepless, but we woke up to a beautiful sunny morning 😊

More wiring, this time for the sat phone.

Now we're back in Boulder for a couple of weeks before we start our passage down south to Caribbean. This is what we came back to, Brrr. Caribbean sounds pretty good at this point :-)
